Helpless

Staring out of the window
Looking at the lights
That dazzling pain
Scorched my eyes.

Yet,
I continued watching
Stay vigil beside my bed
Imagining something
That can put me to sleep.

I know what I am feeling,
But I couldn't acknowledge it.
Because the cost is too great,
If I let it out at this century.

Awareness,
Understanding,
Is a burden
Innocence,
Ignorance
Is pure bliss.

But one cannot
Exist without each other.
Hence,
In this life,
In every life,
There's a chance
For all of us,
To feel the terrible weight
Of knowledge.
To feel the lightheadedness
Of guileless.
