What a woman wants

As I was watching through,
Sappy romantic korean dramas,
I came across this really cool one,
A story of a queen and her favourite guard.

How she grew up along with him,
One fine day as she joined the guards.
She lived as a male and leant to fight,
As a soldier and won a war.

She didn't know much about herself,
As she curb her womanly soul.
She didn't know she was falling,
Into the valley named love.

One day came when the princess she served realized,
That she was the very twin that the royal household sought.
She didn't know he knew her as a woman,
And kept her secret to protect her.

She met her sister in secret,
And they exchanged clothes to wear.
Those that sought to kill her mistake her twin for her,
She lost the sister she found seconds ago.

Her man look upon her with love,
As her sorrow etched onto her face.
He hoped they could run away together,
But she decided to do otherwise.

She made the choice to be a queen,
And he made her his ruler.
His heart and loyalty,
And his life and death.

As he kneeled down before her,
His face still full of love.
It was more than the love of a lover,
It was also the love of a loyal subject.

He would do everything he can for her,
For the country they call home.
So that others can fall in love,
And live peacefully for them.
