To God

God,
Help me lift my head to you.

God,
Help me lift my eyes to your face.

Things of this world is wearying me.
Conflict, strifle will surely follow.

In the end,
Only You,
Will triumph.
As I raise my eyes to see Your glory.

God,
Help me to pull my heart away from my desires.
God,
Help me seal my lips.

For I do not wish to stumble anyone,
I do not want anymore conflicts surrounding me.
Endlessly.

Only You,
Can fill this gaping hole in my heart.
Only You,
Fulfillment of my soul.

Money does not concern me,
For I know you will provide.
Those that cannot see your face,
They chase after worthless things.

What is wisdom,
Without the love of God.
What is faithfulness,
Without Your presence?

I know I am weak,
But You gave me your strength,
I know I am poor,
But You gave me your richness,
That surpasses all understanding.

I thank You, Lord,
For all I have,
For I have nothing.
Yet,
You were there all along.
Right in my heart.
