Writing creatively, dreaming crazily

I have just spent few days with my writer, Rodger Kamenetz, and of course, with his wife, Moira Crone. It was amazing, and they are really wonderful people. People who are happily in love with each other, and are comfortable with each other to express it. I realized how small and sallow my world is. They are people who have seen and lived a million lives, explored possibilities that I don't dare to dream of. They are special and scandalous in their respectability, and ultimately amazing people.

Its an honor to be here for them, visiting in our fair city. (:

I wonder how many more interesting and fascinating things I'll learn? I can't wait to purchase the books they have brought with them. :D

I am in the midst of an argument of Singapore's educational mobility. The arguments make sense to me, and they are very real and in some instances, undeniable. But there is something missing. A gaping hole that we should address as well. Does how much your effort in the education system that determines your standing in society, or is it the will of God that places you in that place for a specific purpose? Or is it an interaction between God's plan and our choice? Something to think about during this week. (:
